FabCareer

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 13, 2026

1. Who We Are

FabCareer is operated by [Operator legal name and address]. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and who we share it with. We intend to operate under German/EU data protection law as our primary jurisdiction; see the note in Section 7 for the current status of that arrangement.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: your email address, used for passwordless sign-in via our authentication provider (Supabase).

Career profile data: whatever you choose to add to your profile — name, current company and title, years of experience, education, skills, certifications, languages, equipment experience, your career persona (role archetype), and preferred companies, countries, and job types.

Billing data: your subscription tier and status. Full payment card details are never sent to or stored by us — those go directly to Stripe.

Usage data: which jobs you view or score, and when you request an AI Career Match analysis.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To compute your Career Score against job postings and generate AI Career Match Engine insights;
  • To operate your account and process subscription billing;
  • To communicate with you about the Service (e.g. sign-in links, billing notices);
  • To maintain and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. AI Processing and Third-Party Sub-Processors

To provide the Service, relevant parts of your profile and the job postings you view are sent to the following processors:

  • Anthropic(Claude models) — processes your career profile and a job posting's requirements to generate the AI Career Match Engine's match reasoning, Career Score explanation, and recommendations, when you request one.
  • Voyage AI — processes short text (skill, certification, and equipment names) to generate embeddings used for matching similar terms; this does not include your full profile.
  • Supabase — hosts our database and handles authentication (magic-link email sign-in).
  • Stripe — processes subscription payments; handles your payment card details directly, we never receive or store them.

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policy and data processing terms.

5. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/EEA Users)

Where GDPR applies, we process your account and profile data on the basis of contractual necessity (to provide the Service you signed up for) and, for optional communications, your consent. Billing data is processed on the basis of contractual necessity and legal obligations (e.g. tax/accounting records).

6. Data Retention

We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Career Score history is kept as an append-only record so you can see how your score has changed over time. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to retain billing records for legal/tax purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at [contact email to be added].

If you're in the EU/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority. Our intended primary establishment is Germany (see [Operator legal name and address]), but this policy will be reviewed and finalized once that entity is formally registered — treat the jurisdiction details here as provisional until then.

8. International Data Transfers

Our processors (Section 4) may process data outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses for these transfers.

9. Cookies

We use only the essential cookies set by our authentication provider (Supabase) to keep you signed in. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

FabCareer is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data (encrypted connections, access controls on our database), but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.

13. Contact
