The impact you’ll make

Join Lam as a Manufacturing Engineer where you’ll play a crucial role in supporting the high-volume manufacturing production factory. Using your knowledge of technology and engineering principles you will oversee the planning, development, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and operations. You'll tackle technical, quality, and production challenges. Your expertise optimizing manufacturing costs and standards helps shape Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency in manufacturing.

In this role, you will play a vital part in the success of manufacturing operations by helping teams achieve production targets, uphold high quality standards, and drive continuous improvement. Your contributions will be essential in enhancing manufacturing efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining operational safety through the effective maintenance and optimization of jigs, fixtures, and related tooling assets for test area.

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for jigs and fixtures used for test processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of calibration and maintenance activities, as well as fixture condition.
  • Respond to fixture-related issues on the production floor.
  • Diagnose and repair damaged or worn fixtures to minimize downtime.
  • Track and manage inventory of jigs and fixtures.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics and engineering teams to ensure fixture availability and readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fixture for durability, ergonomics, and ease of maintenance.
  • Maintain technical documentation including maintenance logs and usage history.
  • Report recurring issues and propose long-term solutions.
  • Develop Fixture Maintenance Procedure and Work Instructions.
  • Train fixture technicians in fixture maintenance related topics.

Who we’re looking for

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Skilled troubleshooting capabilities and aptitude for hands-on work in the areas of electrical, pneumatics and mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to identify and implement fixture-specific maintenance strategies.
  • Experience in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
  • Ability in reading engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Ability work independently and in a team.
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders or customers in technical matters.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of Semiconductor equipment, Capital Equipment industry and its manufacturing processes.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Statistical analysis skills including statistical process control and data analysis used in production setting.
  • Knowledge in Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA).
  • Proven stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders or customers in technical matters.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
