The impact you’ll make

Join Lam as an IT Engineer, where you'll be at the forefront of designing, analyzing, and implementing applications and systems that form the foundation of our infrastructure. As a crucial member of our IT team, you'll contribute your technical assistance and guidance to projects for various systems and infrastructures. Acting as a technical liaison, you'll address complex business problems with automated systems solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving Lam's commitment to innovation and efficiency.

What you’ll do

  • Design and deliver self‑healing automation that proactively detects common failure conditions, automatically remediates known issues, and prevents incident recurrence 
  • Architect and operate one‑click resolution workflows that standardize recovery actions and significantly reduce dependency on manual intervention 
  • Design, implement, and maintain DevOps‑based automation for software packaging, deployment, and lifecycle management across corporate client endpoints 
  • Build and own CI/CD pipelines to ensure automation is versioned, tested, secure, and deployed reliably at scale 
  • Create and maintain robust scripts, tooling, and automation frameworks to eliminate manual operational effort and reduce MTTR  
  • Integrate automation and remediation logic with endpoint management, monitoring, and alerting platforms to enable event‑driven remediation 
  • Analyze incident trends and operational pain points to identify and prioritize high‑impact self‑healing use cases 
  • Partner with Client Services, Security, and other operations teams to align automation outcomes with reliability and risk objectives  
  • Continuously improve automation coverage, effectiveness, and resilience through metrics, operational feedback, and iterative enhancement  
  • Document automation solutions, remediation logic, and operational runbooks to support consistent adoption and long‑term maintainability 

Who we’re looking for

  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience  
  • Strong hands‑on experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash)  
  • Experience supporting or automating enterprise client/endpoint environments (Windows and/or macOS)  
  • Hands‑on experience with DevOps concepts, CI/CD pipelines, and systems or infrastructure automation  
  • Proven ability to design reliable, maintainable automation in complex enterprise environments  
  • Solid understanding of system dependencies, integrations, and operational workflows

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience with endpoint management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Intune)  
  • Experience with Digital Employee Experience (DEX) solutions (e.g., Nexthink)  
  • Experience implementing self‑healing, monitoring‑driven, or alert‑driven automation  
  • Familiarity with enterprise security controls and secure automation practices  
  • Experience working in large, globally distributed IT or operations organizations 

What We're Offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group F. A higher paymentis negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On-site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
