Industrial Engineer - Quality (m/f/d)

Quality Engineer responsible for analyzing quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and driving continuous improvement in semiconductor equipment manufacturing and complex electronic assemblies.

Full Description
  • You analyze quality issues and failure modes using structured problem-solving methodologies in cross-functional environments.
  • You monitor product, process, and customer quality KPIs using data-driven analysis to drive defect reduction and cost improvement in the series production phase.
  • You define, implement, and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to ensure sustainable quality improvements and customer satisfaction.
  • You collaborate with R&D and Operations teams to resolve quality issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • You analyze and improve manufacturing processes and quality performance for complex electronic assemblies to enhance efficiency, scalability, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • You optimize testing and repair processes in series production to improve efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
  • You support continuous improvement initiatives by ensuring structured tracking, reporting, and follow-up of quality and process improvements.

Requirements (must)

  • You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field such as electrical or mechatronic engineering or production management.
  • You demonstrate strong communication and collaboration skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • You have very good English skills, both written and spoken.
  • You have strong expertise in quality analysis, root cause analysis, and structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. A3-Report, 8D, PDCA).
  • You show a hands-on mindset with the ability to drive corrective action implementations.
  • You have proven knowledge of quality management and industrial engineering processes within a manufacturing environment.
  • You have hands-on experience in fault isolation, failure analysis, hardware debugging, and data-driven investigation of electronic assemblies.
  • You are willing to travel (approx. 10–20%).

Requirements (nice to have)

  • You have German language skills to support local stakeholder communication.
  • You have certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt).
  • You have knowledge of the ATE market and/or the semiconductor industry.
