Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D group. The position includes the mechanical design of multidisciplinary assemblies, including the design of small and accurate mechanisms, structural chassis, machined parts, sheet metal, plastic parts, 3D-printed parts, electrical cabinets/enclosures, pneumatic systems, and more.

You will be working in a highly dynamic environment with many stakeholders involved in each project. As the core of our projects is mechanical, you will be fully involved in the design process from the concept stage through all design and manufacturing phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design of small and accurate systems, structural elements, pneumatic and vacuum systems, sheet metal design, electrical cages, filtration systems, and cooling systems for clean-room environments.
• Design and execute experiments in our R&D lab.
• Perform mechanical and thermal simulations and analyses for design validation.
• Lead the mechanical aspects of the development process, conduct design reviews, and collaborate with team members from other disciplines: project management, product manufacturing, field support, and suppliers.
• Support the transition to production, define assembly and service instructions, and work closely with the production line.

Skills And Experience

• BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, with 7+ years of mechanical design experience.
• High proficiency in CAD software – SolidWorks -mandatory.
• Experience with manufacturing technologies (machining, 3D printing, coating, sheet metal) – mandatory.
• Experience with small and accurate mechanisms.
• Experience in mechanical, thermal, and CFD / flow simulations and analysis – an advantage.
• Experience with PLM software and change management processes.
• Hands-on experience in the assembly, integration, and validation of self-designed mechanical assemblies.
• Experience in opto-mechanical design — an advantage
• Team player, well organized, independent, and with a positive “can-do” attitude.
• Knowledge in pneumatics – an advantage.
• Experience in the semiconductor industry – an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
