- Design & Develop: Contribute to the design and development of advanced electrical and embedded systems for next-generation semiconductor equipment
- Test & Deliver: Support end-to-end development through prototyping, testing, debugging, and product release
- Collaborate & Solve: Work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, drive improvements, and deliver reliable, high-performance solutions
- Participate in the design and development of new systems, as well as the enhancement of existing designs for next-generation semiconductor equipment, working within a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop embedded systems supporting real-time distributed control, multiprocessing, and data analysis (ARM processors, DSPs, and microprocessors).
- Design and develop power electronics and control systems for motors, actuators, and transducers, including servo drives, discrete power amplifiers, and power supplies.
- Perform multilayer PCB design and verification using Altium Designer®.
- Design continuous-flex cables for bonder system interconnections using Zuken™ E3.cable.
- Coordinate the production release of PCB and cable designs through Siemens Teamcenter®.
- Prepare technical specifications and documentation for new designs.
- Conduct bench and laboratory testing at both board and system integration levels.
- Perform bring-up, troubleshooting, and debugging of prototypes.
- Support production and field issues related to system and subsystem performance, working collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- Execute engineering verification activities and develop and implement reliability test plans.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Typically 5 or more years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in circuit design and analysis, including the ability to interpret datasheets and application notes for component selection.
- Working knowledge of control systems, including PID control and feedback theory.
- Hands-on experience in PCB design, including component library creation, schematic capture, and layout.
- Experience with Altium Designer® is an advantage
- Experience in cable design for continuous-flex applications.
- Familiarity with Zuken™ E3.cable is an advantage
- Experience with microcontrollers and firmware development in C.
- Familiarity with hardware debugging tools is a plus
- Experience in reading and developing technical specifications and documentation.
- Experience with FPGAs and HDL, including IP integration, RTL simulation, and timing analysis.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, current probes, and differential probes.
- Knowledge of motor control systems, including DC servo motors and stepper motors.
- Exposure to communication interfaces and protocols (e.g., VME, PCIe, RS485, Ethernet, LVDS, SerDes) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of machine-level electrical system architecture is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
