Supply Chain Quality Engineer responsible for technical supply chain management of interconnect parts and assemblies including cables and connectors, focusing on supplier qualification, quality assurance, and test strategy throughout product lifecycle.

Full Description

Supply Chain Quality Engineers are responsible for the technical elements of supply chain management throughout all product life cycle phases.
This position is focusing on interconnect parts and assemblies such as Cables, customized Connectors and connections by Spring Contact Pins.
By assuring the availability of high quality parts/assemblies along with the required supplier and supply chain capabilities the dynamic business needs are supported.

 

Major tasks are:

  • Supplier selection, auditing and qualification, quality assurance processes, test strategy/plan, performance control points, etc.
  • Assures performance according to specifications; assures quality and reliability throughout the materials supply chain (from component to product level)
  • Works as cross functional interface between external Suppliers & Contract Manufacturers and internal departments
  • Change control, Design for Manufacturing analysis, part number setup etc.
  • Support for technical contracting elements
  • Bachelor/Master Degree or University Degree or equivalent with the subjects of Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Material Science or equivalent job experience
  • Must: Know-how of manufacturing and related test processes for complex Cable assemblies
  • Knowledge of common failure mechanisms related to Cables and Connectors
  • Very good analytical skills in solving technical issues
  • Team work/cross functional work capability
  • Language skills: fluent in English (writing & speaking); German min. B2
  • Strong self-management and coordination skills
  • Good communicator, presenting skills
