We are looking for a Director of Physics to be part of Camtek R&D and product development team, leading the physics domain in the development of state-of-the-art optical microscopy and metrology solutions.
Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of physicists, providing technical leadership, mentorship, and professional guidance across research, development, and productization.
- Drive and oversee the development of next-generation optical microscopy systems, optical assemblies, and advanced metrology technologies.
- Guide key technical decisions related to optical components, cameras, illumination sources, sensors, and opto-electronic assemblies.
- Provide direction and oversight for simulations, experiments, and validation activities, including acceptance and test methodologies.
- Lead the team in addressing complex technological challenges and delivering high-impact physics-based solutions.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary R&D teams, including algorithms, systems, applications, product, support, and customers, and collaborate with leading optical and opto-electronics vendors.
