Overview:
Veeco is seeking an ambitious Field Service Engineer who is eager to learn our technology and drive customer satisfaction at our customer site in Villach, Austria. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, calibration, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs and general upkeep of semiconductor equipment. The role is also responsible for the implementation and delivery of timely and effective service support strategies for Veeco’s key customer account with the objective of providing maximum customer satisfaction while meeting financial performance targets.
In this role, you will provide support to MOCVD customers, performing complex customer support activities involving the installation, modification, repair and preventive maintenance of complex equipment and systems to ensure proper working order. You'll lead on-site installations, testing and repair of equipment following established procedures and policies and isolate and resolve complex equipment malfunctions and initiate corrective action. You'll do all this while resolving complex issues in creative and effective ways. You may also act as a site lead and coordinate and provide work direction to other FSEs as needed - a great leadership opportunity!

Qualifications:
Associate's degree and a minimum of two years of experience in a technical customer service position is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Experience with vacuum & electro-mechanical systems and an understanding of basic software/ programming structures is required.
